Greed Changed Life

Hey again!
So, I come again with another essay. The topic is Greed Changes Life. Well, all of us need a push to do something. Most of us have to be black-mailed in order to do a task - If you will do this- I will give you that. Is this good or Is this bad? Lets have a look!

What is greed? In simple words, the want of something is known as greed. It is a desire to have more than what is needed. Greed is the direct opposite of contentment. It makes a person feel that something is missing, something is less. It does not allow a person to feel satisfied. The person always feels that he has less than what he deserves. Greed can vary from a small want to a really large wish. But is greed just an escapee from the Pandora’s box that has destroyed the world? Yes, it is true that greed has led to the destruction of man but can greed not be a method to the construction of man. If greed has destroyed something, can it not be that greed has brought it back again.
At present greed of man for money has led to making and selling illegal nuclear arms and ammunition  attacking another country, building millions of factories, killing millions of innocent people and much more. This has caused pollution, unhappiness, anxiety, and much more. Now, people are feeling bad for what they have done, they wish to get their old life back. The greed to have things the way they were before, where there was only happiness and no fear, has caused man to make amends. They cannot change what they have done but they can surely make amends and stop doing it. When a thief is caught, the want of not being sent to jail, leads him to surrender. The terrorist who killed millions of people do not wish to lose their life and hence surrender. The greed for life has caused him to stop doing what he did.   If the greed for money has led to destruction of man, the greed of life has led to the construction of a better man.
Greed is portrayed as a bad quality but if this bad quality has worked out for a good cause, how is it a bad quality? If the want of good marks makes a student study properly, then how is the greed bad? It has finally changed the life of the student for the better. It is greed that has caused the progress of man. If the world had no greed at all, it would have come to a standstill. Everyone would have been contented with what they had and they would not have ever tried to be better than what they were. Nobody would even care to try. Would a dead world be better than a world with competition?

Television and Children

So well, here's another essay...a different topic this time...a topic upon which u can have a debate..but well I have simply placed my views in it.

So the topic this time is Is Television Good for Children?

The television was invented by Philo Taylor Fansworth on September 7,1927. It was one of the important inventions that took place in the twentieth century. It was invented as a medium of communication and soon became the best method of communication. Now, besides communicating the news and information television has also become a medium of entertainment. The television at first showed only news and a few daily soap operas. Now there are hundreds of channels where one can choose according to his taste. Some channels such as National Geographic show information on various facts whereas some show information related to entertainment. Nowadays, everyone watches the television for news update, entertainment or leisure.
This television has proved to be very important but it has had a great impact on the life of children. Children in the earlier years used to spend their time with friends but now everyone simply lies on the sofa and starts to watch T.V. Before all the children used to meet up in the evening and play for long hours but nowadays kids don’t even meet. They are all glued to the television sets. Hence, television has caused a disturbance in the social life of children. The television also shows information which is not suitable for children. If this stuff is watched by the children it will mislead them and put a different thinking in their mind. It will teach them things before the appropriate age or will teach them a thing that is not true in the real world. It also affects their studies. Nowadays just to watch their favourite show, the kids leave all their works sit right in front of the television. Therefore, the television diverts their attention from studies. If a soccer match is going to be aired, most school kids leave their studies and homework just to watch the match. Television affects the human morals and thinking on a large way. It potrays information that is based on fantasy and is totally a false story. Finally, television leads to poor eyesight. The beam of light that falls on the eyes gives a lot of stress to the eyes and thus leads to defect in the eye. This can prove harmful at a later time.
Therefore, even though the television has proved to be a source of learning by providing the information in a visual manner, it has finally become a hindrance in the path of the children towards their success.

Happy Reading!

Hey Guys!

So this blog is like a life-saver for students. Well all of us students, have to write essays. One of the major tasks for English Homework is writing an essay. Most of us, cringe at this homework and with great difficulty come up with a good essay. So well (coming back to the point) I am gonna post an essay on a weekly basis for all those students who have to brain-storm a lot to get points for an essay. Basically, these are essays on common topics that I have written in school.

Let's start with an easy topic. Today's topic is A Visit To The Dentist

'The sight of the main entrance to the clinic made me feel like vomiting. I did not wish to enter the room but the pain in my tooth forced me to do so. I slowed opened the door. A strong smell of medicines hit my nose. I cringed at the smell and saw a number of patients waiting for their turn. They were all in pain and nervous. I too felt scared but went to the receptionist and took my number. There was a long queue and my turn was at the end. I felt really bored looking at the long list of patients and wished to go back home but I waited. I picked up a magazine from the counter and randomly went through it. Slowly, I went through all the magazines.
The entire room was calm and I could hear the ticking of the clock. I had pangs of nervousness at the tick of every second. In order to distract myself, I started looking at the posters that were put up on the wall.  Most posters showed the condition of the teeth before and after the treatment, some showed about the growth of teeth. It seemed as though all posters were put to prevent the patients from boredom. Just then, a nurse came out and called my number. It finally was my turn. I got up and went to the surgery room. A big chair with a lamp on top, some pointed instruments and the smiling face of the dentist was all I could see in the dim and dull room. A felt scared and took small steps. The dentist told me to sit and gargle first. I did so and the examining began. The dentist looked at the tooth and said that I was suffering from a cavity which had to be filled immediately. He went to the other room and got a white coloured paste when he returned. He started drilling the tooth, then used a pointed gadget which hurt at the first touch. I cribbed in pain but the dentist did not stop. The finally after torturing me for a long time, he put the paste and filled up the cavity.
He then told me not to eat anything for the next three hours and brush twice everyday. I quickly listened to his instructions, paid the bill and rushed out of the clinic. I had decided never to visit the dentist henceforth.'

Hope it helps! :)
